Starting from pole position, Max Verstappen managed to win his first Grand Prix of the season at the Suzuka Circuit. Lando Norris finished in second place, while Oscar Piastri rounded off the Top 3.

The two McLarens were close behind Verstappen during the race, but they never had a chance to try a maneouvre, other than the pit lane incident between Norris and the Dutchman.

The rest of the Top 8 had a rather quiet Grand Prix, as compared to qualifying, only Lewis Hamilton gained a position, after he overtook Isack Hadjar during his first stint.

After some fiery messages over the team radio, Alexander Albon finished in P9, while Oliver Bearman claimed a single point for Haas. Yuki Tsunoda finished his debut weekend for Red Bull in P12, gaining two positions today.
