Formula One-owner Liberty Media has announced that its new streaming service will launch during the next month at the Spanish Grand Prix (11 to 13 May) under the name F1 TV.
F1 TV is the Formula One's own paid-for streaming service which allows fans worldwide to watch races, qualifying and practice on all of their devices. It was supposed to be launching at the start of the season but it was delayed significantly.
There will be two types of subscriptions: F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Access. The former is the more expensive option and provides the customer with not only live data and commentary, but also a video feed from multiple angles.
F1 TV Access is the cheaper option and doesn't include a video feed, but it does have live audio commentary and various live data and summaries after each session. All commentary will be taken from the station that transmits the F1 races in each country.
Depending on the market, the Pro version should cost between about 50 and 100 pounds per year, which can be paid upfront or in months. The Access version doesn't have a price yet.
