Sainz and Alonso to the podium in Austria? 'I'm the one to blame'

Last year Carlos Sainz of Ferrari was often on the podium, in the 2023 F1 season Fernando Alonso makes it a sport to be on the podium. Never before have two Spaniards been on the podium. How long will that last?

The Ferrari driver and Aston Martin driver were asked that question during the FIA press conference ahead of the 2023 Austrian GP. Sainz: "I think Fernando is getting a podium every week so I'm the one to blame. Hopefully sooner rather than later I can join him in one of those podiums and celebrate together with champaign, which would be good for Spain."

Alonso spreads his racing insight and knows exactly how to achieve that goal faster. Alonso: "With two Red Bulls out, we would have achieved it sooner."
