Ferrari team principal
Maurizio Arrivabene has said that he's content with his team's performance in the
Monaco Grand Prix, even though a Virtual Safety Car prevented the team from making a late push for first place.
Speaking to FormulaPassion.it, Arrivabene broke down the Grand Prix.
"Compared to last year, the start was harder.
"Thanks to the hard work of the team, we qualified in second.
However, their game plan was ruined by the VSC.
"We had studied a one-stop strategy too.
"Preserving enough grip to make a push at the end - that was the goal.
"However, the Virtual Safety Car prevented that from happening, so we couldn't attack at the end."
Still, a second and fourth place finish is a decent return, especially since Mercedes did worse by coming in at P3 and P5.
