Valtteri Bottas ended in fifth place in Monaco, but the Finn was frustrated by the fact that he couldn't get past his fellow countryman Kimi Raikkonen, who was driving in front of him.
The very narrow circuit of Monaco is very tough for overtaking, which resulted in Valtteri Bottas being stuck behind Kimi Raikkonen for the entire Grand Prix, even though Bottas was much quicker.
"It can be very frustrating when you feel you have a faster tempo but you can't do anything with it," he told Crash.net.
"It's very tough to overtake here and I never got close enough to really attack Kimi.
"I think Kimi was struggling with his front tyres more than me, but the rear end of his car looked very good, he found great grip in the final turn and in the tunnel.
"That's why I couldn't get close enough on the spots where you can overtake."
The lack of overtaking has been a known problem with the
Monaco Grand Prix, but the narrow street circuit is also very charming because of it. There's absolutely zero margin for error, as Max Verstappen can tell you. One inch off the track and you're gone.
