The teams have agreed to change the regulations so that porpoising disappears, FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem announced via Twitter.

F1 teams reach agreement with FIA

He wrote: "Having discussed the porpoising issue with all 20 @F1 drivers & 10 team principals, I’m happy to confirm that we will be submitting updated 2023 Technical Regulations to the WMSC this week to address this, in addition to the measures already taken for the remainder of this season."

mileph Racist Detective. Armed with only a ninth grade education and government financial assistance milesph ferrets out Racists on blogs across the world. His first clue is anyone that does not like Lewis Hamilton. From there he digs down deep and finds hidden meanings in words only a millennial with no real life experience or a job could find. Using his delicate and sensitive feelings he finds offenses hidden from other bloggers (except those in the secret and Racist anti Lewis Society). Yes a true citizen of the new and better world order coming. Milesph your a thorn in Racist's side and a protector of all that is good and right in the self serving world of Lewis Hamilton fans. Good Job!!!

Haha, how utterly pathetic of you. I can assure you my education and income far exceed yours. You still haven't answered the question though have you. Speaks volumes.

F1HotFan 09 August 2022 at 23:32+ 7334

LOL. Your on here 24/7 and you have a job. I guess I was right about MB paid Trolls.

mileph 09 August 2022 at 23:36+ 2331

I'm here occasionally. A lot less than you that's for sure. I don't think you're right about much of anything really so pat yourself on the back all you want. Oh, and you still have not answered the question just trying to divert. Lmfao.

Let's hope Ferrari brings out their famed Veto power for this! Merc are the Covid Virus of F1, impossible to get rid off. Coming up with new mutations every year to gain an advantage by slowing killing it's hosts (F1). Merc could actually bring about closure of F1. It's the first typical DTS team!

Dang 11 August 2022 at 03:24+ 3049

I hope they do that ....so that this veto thing can be looked at closely...shine the light on it....has no place in f1 from which ever angle you look at it...more money I can live with...veto power...fia 2.0 ?

Ferrarifanatic 09 August 2022 at 07:06+ 14286

An 8th title is necessary to complete the F1 marketing programme!!

1F 09 August 2022 at 04:15+ 1251

I guess this will fix Toto's health.

Red Bull got the VW combo with speculation that both Porsche and VW will work on the same engine secretly. Merc will benefit from pulling back rivals by banning the illegal flexi-floors. What does Ferrari get ? More money ?

As expected all the critics are out, none of them having appeared to read the article which said all 20 drivers and 10 team principals discussed the issue. As if Mercedes are the only one that gonna benefit.

Brandon Graham 09 August 2022 at 24:32+ 677

discussing and agreeing aren't the same thing

F1HotFan 09 August 2022 at 24:35+ 7334

What??? Typical Lewis Fan no critical thinking skills at all. "Discussed" with drivers and teams means nothing genius. If they all agreed to Mercedes rule change that would hold weight but "Discussing" just means they let every team and driver talk and then they let The Mercedes "Safety" Rules go forward as an FIA new Directive. This has not been a real racing sport since 2014 when a really decent driver was allowed to race with a head start engine design that nobody could catch up on the four-year head start, they had. This is insane. Protests should ensue. Anything to make an undeserved driver get a 8X world championship. Woke is killing society and now racing. This is pitiful!

Dang 09 August 2022 at 09:07+ 3049

There you go agsin stating facts ....this new Suleman guy must be lying about RB ferrari...AT.....agreeing

Hope Mercedes happy now

mpplc 08 August 2022 at 22:37+ 10240

So we’re expected to believe that the 6 teams opposed suddenly agreed? I had high hopes for Ben Sulayem, but it seems he’s just another Mercedes puppet.

Dang 09 August 2022 at 09:03+ 3049

Horner is certainly not one to keep quiet...marko even more so..their disagreement if any..will be very publicly aired very soon....silence though would suggest orherwise....let's wait and see

Is this guy for real? Does he really expect people to believe that all is rosy and good and every team is on board for this? I mean, jeez, he sounds like a russian propagandist on state tv, lying shamelessly ffs....

Gotta love the FIA. Oh, lets bring back ground effects. Teams, we will set a minimum ride height as we are aware porpoising will be an issue. Teams say no, we can build cars without porpoising these days. First test, kangaroos are let loose. A couple of teams get a grip of it pre-season and the other teams slowly catch up over the next 8 races. Only Merc cant get to grips with it (only team running zero sidepod) so they have LH and GR do a bit of acting and shout health and safety issues. Lewis might have already sustained future brain damage apparently but not George. Hmmmm. FIA, ok lets change the rules to accomodate driver safety despite all the other teams not having issues anymore. We favour Merc as their driver will have brain damage in the future. We are going to raise the height of the floor sides to reduce porpoising. How did they come to this conclusion. Raising the side of the floors allows the air to escape and reduces the downforce generated by the ground effect. Are they going to compensate for that elsewhere? Are we going to go backwards and forget about cars racing each other closely because it doesnt work for Mercedes? This move only benefits Mercedes. They need less downforce so they can run their engines at maximum power. This will favour only them as they get a power boost whilst the other teams are losing downforce which ultimately slows them down to Mercedes level. And Merc fans wonder why every other fan says Merc are hypocrites, worst sporting team, FIA pet favourites.

SelkirkScientist 08 August 2022 at 21:52+ 1046

Whatever Mercedes lost in terms of design and engineering prowess this year, it must be a comfort that their legal and lobbying teams certainly haven’t missed a step.

CJ77 08 August 2022 at 21:56+ 10555

Its hard for their legal team to miss a step when she now works in the FIA too.

Yup. MB fans are like: "Max was given the championship" But deny every aspect where the FIA assist and help MB to win Pathetic

Step 1 - secure her position within the FIA. Step 2 - connect with the right people to pursue her agenda. Step 3 - read the article.

Is it just coincidence that the cover photo of the article is one of Ben Sulayem and Toto Wolff?? ?

GOOD ONE

F1KoolFan 09 August 2022 at 08:53+ 6151

Correct, Star. A good and measured safety directive which will come in in 2023, so all teams have the ability to adapt. I'm sure we will now get all the Maxi fanboys filling the rest of this blog thread up with conspiracy theories and spinning the tired old line, the MB have their own spy in the FIA camp. They conveiently forget that ALL the teams, including RB gave their agreement. They were not forced or obliged to agree If we were to follow the maxi fanboys ridiculous argument to its logical conclusion, with all the engineers and technical staff joining RB from MB feeding back information to MB, why isn't the MB the fastest car on the grid?????? Hahahaha.... ???? **

Mercedes already anticipated on this and will have the best car next year, I hope I am wrong but seen what happened in the past I think Mercedes already knew what going to happen, and calling others cheaters what a joke!
