Red Bull Racing currently don't have a seat left for a new driver, but there are plenty of young drivers ready to step in when one eventually opens up. This year they have five talented drivers competing in
Formula 2.
Plenty of successful drivers have originally come from the junior squad of the Milton Keynes-based team, including current world champion
Max Verstappen, former world champion
Sebastian Vettel and
Ferrari driver
Carlos Sainz. There are several young talents eager to follow in their footsteps and five of them will be driving in
Formula 2 this year. Jüri Vips, Liam Lawson and Jehan Daruvala drove in the 2021 championship, and they will all continue for another year. Vips was on the podium six times last year, Lawson three times and Daruvala five times. Dennis Hauger, the
Formula 3 champion, and Japanese driver Amuyu Iwasa will join those three in their rookie F2 seasons this year.
The ladder to
Formula 1 officially begins in Formula 3 and there is plenty of Red Bull talent there as well. Jonny Edgar, Jak Crawford and Isack Hadjar will try to take as many victories as possible in that championship in 2022.
