Former Formula One driver Jenson Button put down what some would call the best race of all time 12 years ago. The Briton drove from P21, where he started, to the top step of the podium att the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in a changeable and chaotic race.
In 30 laps, Button drove from P21 to P1. Despite a red flag and a penalty given to Button, the Englishman still won, with this legendary victory by Button being the first win of his season in 2011. It put him in second place in the world championship, sitting behind Sebastian Vettel.
Whether we can expect such a spectacular race next weekend remains to be seen. Take another look at the 2011 footage from Canada here.
