Force India checked if Williams driver Lance Stroll could fit in their current car and the new chassis that is being designed for next season.

The decision hasn't been made on whether Stroll will be switching to Force India next season, following his dad's new ownership of the British team.

Stroll visited the Force India factory earlier this week (on Tuesday) to have more of a look at what he could be entering and to see about the Canadian's measurements, in case a move does go ahead.

"He fits in the car, just in case," Otmar Szafnauer of Force India told RaceFans.net. "As we sit here today, I don't know, I cannot predict, I can't tell you, mainly because it hasn't been decided.

"And for that to happen, I'm sure a lot of other stuff has to happen and it's not just a switch."

Force India had to start the championship from scratch again, and Szafnauer believes that fifth place might be a realistic target for the team.

"I think if we do a really good job, see how this weekend goes, we might even have a decent chance of fifth," he said. "Fifth is probably the best we can do, fourth might be a step too far, but fifth is do-able."
