Formula 1 will broadcast all the action from Barcelona during the first week of testing. This follows on from Sky Sports announcement earlier in January.
Subscribers to F1 TV Pro will be able to watch the action unfold. Each day, the action will be followed by a live reaction broadcast lasting one hour.
This marks unprecedented coverage of the winter testing allowing fans to have access to the new cars and drivers on their first outing. The review programme will also be broadcast during the second week of testing.
“Following the beta launch of F1 TV last year, our goal is to continue to enhance the product to include more markets, content and platforms,” said Frank Arthofer, Director of Digital, Licensing and New Business, on
F1.com.
“Our ambition is to provide fans with a terrific product that allows them to personalise their viewing experience and deepen the insight available to them about the sport they love. By broadcasting testing for the first time, we are ensuring F1 TV Pro subscribers are rewarded with all the latest action from pre-season."
Last week, Sky Sports announced they will be showing 20 hours of live coverage from Barcelona over the first four days of testing. Their coverage will begin at 1pm and end at 5pm [Uk time].
Pre-season testing begins on February 18th.
