Christian Klien has praise for
Lewis Hamilton and
Max Verstappen after the
Brazilian Grand Prix. The Austrian also spoke at
ServusTV 's
Sport und Talk programme about the Briton's disqualification.
Impressive Hamilton
The 2021
Formula 1 season is more exciting than ever. With Hamilton and Verstappen close together in the standings, there is still plenty to fight for. The battle for the drivers' and constructors' title is still wide open. Klien enjoys this fight in
Formula 1.
''It goes back and forth this season. There are always circuits that people say are Red Bull circuits, but then it turns out differently. What Hamilton did there (in Brazil) was impressive with 25 overtakes. I'm sure that had something to do with his advantage in top speed," says the former Red Bull driver.
Control for Red Bull
Hamilton had to come from so far away after being disqualified following his qualifying.
''I think something had to be done. The rear wing had been checked by the FIA and there was more than 85mm clearance on one side. There should be a penalty for that. The stewards took a lot of time with it too, because it was only decided the next day.''Klien was also upbeat about Verstappen's performance.
''The inside (at the start) is not wrong in Sao Paulo. Max Verstappen dared to make an aggressive move, even though the world title is at stake for him. From that moment on you thought Red Bull Racing were in
control with two cars in front'', Klien concludes.
