Pierre Gasly thinks that Red Bull will push Honda in the right direction as they prepare to supply the Austrian team's power unit for next season.

Red Bull announced that they have ended their long-term relationship with Renault earlier this season.

Toro Rosso driver Pierre Gasly believes that Red Bull's new partnership with Honda will only benefit his side.

"To have four cars instead of two is always better in terms of development and also with such a big team as Red Bull, we know how big and how strong they are," the Frenchman told RaceFans.net.

"So for sure they're going to push Honda massively in the direction. So if we can share all of our strengths together for sure it's going to be positive.

"I think also the work for next year will be starting now because all the improvements we can make at the moment will be useful for Red Bull next year."

There is heavy speculation that Gasly will team up with Max Verstappen next season following Daniel Ricciardo's announcement that he will be joining for Renault next season.

However, Red Bull have not yet announced their driver line-up for next season.

Red Bull are sitting comfortably in the third, above Renault, but the gap between them and second placed Ferrari is more than one hundred points.
