Besides the duel vs
Max Verstappen and
Lewis Hamilton, there is some interesting stuff going on in the midfield. The battle for the third spot in the Constructors' Championship is between
McLaren and
Ferrari. For the British team, it is clear who has the most points at the moment:
Lando Norris.
The young Briton is fourth in the championship, ahead of
Valtteri Bottas. A fantastic performance, as Timo Glock also commented in an interview with
Sky Sports Germany.
"I think McLaren's Lando Norris has driven another excellent race. He always gets the best out of his package, stays faultless and does top work."Ricciardo struggling
But where Norris is conquering a huge amount of points, teammate
Daniel Ricciardo is having a hard enough time finishing in the top 10. Glock, too, has noticed that the Australian is struggling.
"I was hoping that his teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, would also be able to match his performance in France. Unfortunately, he didn't manage to do so. It remains to be seen if he can get back on track, which would obviously be very important for McLaren in the competition with Ferrari."Good race Ferrari
Because Glock saw that too. The red cars struggled during qualifying, but recovered during the race. Even after
Charles Leclerc's early pit stop.
"The Scuderia struggled in qualifying, but had the much better pace during the race. Especially Charles Leclerc, who had problems due to his contact with Pierre Gasly on the first lap, drove a strong race. It was great to see him plough through the field."Next weekend, the battle for third place in the Constructors' Championship will continue, again in Austria. Norris, like Leclerc, will be hoping for a repeat of last year's Grand Prix. Both finished on the podium then, behind Valtteri Bottas and ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
