Haas driver Romain Grosjean has indicated that he is looking for an oppurtunity to compete in this years Le Mans 24 Hour Race.
Grosjean could potentially be following Nico Hulkenberg, who won Le Mans in 2015, and Fernando Alonso in racing at Le Mans. The Frenchmen said:
"Le Mans 24 Hours is one that I'm looking for, if there's a great oppurtunity I can just jump in."
Grosjean added that he is exploring other oppurtunities firstly triathlon, the thirty-one year old said:
"I'm trying to do a first triathlon this year, so I have a deal with my wife who says if I go and do another race I have to drop that one!"
If Grosjean was to compete at Le Mans this year, it would not be the first time. The Haas driver competed at Le Mans back in 2010, retiting after just over half distance. He clarified that he still needs to ask his team, saying:
"I haven't even asked the team. If there's an oppurtunity I will ask the team for sure and we'll see what we can do. If they don't want me to race, fine, I can fully understand. There are already a lot of races."
Grosjean also said he'd like to try his hand at World Rallycross and Nascar, saying:
"I would love to try Nascar but it's difficult because of the skill."
So who knows where we will see Grosjean competing this coming year.
