Romain Grosjean suggested the media are making “a mountain out of a molehill” after being quizzed about his recent incidents in the last two races.
It was only yesterday when the Frenchman slammed the British Media and now he’s back on it with more firm responses. It’s clear the Haas driver is under serious pressure.
His team-mate, Kevin Magnussen, has scored 19 more points than Grosjean who is yet to finish inside the top 10. Despite this, Romain says he’s not worried.
“The performance is there, the car is doing great and the team is doing an amazing job. Yes, I don’t have any points on the board, but I’m not too worried,” claimed Grosjean as he spoke to F1.com.
“The last few races didn’t quite go to plan - but sometimes you go through tough times.”
Haas began the season expecting to challenge for fourth. But after five races, they lie in 6th. Had Grosjean scored the same amount of points as Magnussen, they’d be almost level with McLaren and Renault.
“I think it’s getting better and better. It’s super tight. It’s getting there. We are working well.
“It should be quite nice here, and hopefully the next update coming it will be quite competitive.”
