Romain Grosjean has been complaining about the brakes of his Haas car since 2016. The American team has finally found a solution for the Frenchman after two and a half years.
Grosjean has felt totally uncomfortable in Haas's car and worried about his safety due to the chronic problems with the brakes.
"I absolutely love the new brakes. I have not experienced any problems so far and the feeling is really perfect. On the circuit of Canada the brakes will get very difficult, but we can now also cool them better. As a driver you have to make sure you do not overload the brakes, because then you get problems in Montreal at the end of the ride." Grosjean told F1i.
The Frenchman expects that he will be able to push more of the coming races with his VF-18 car.
"The brakes are an important part of Formula 1 and certainly on circuits such as Baku and Monte Carlo. I am very satisfied that we have finally found the solution and now I can get everything out of the car."
