Haas boss Guenther Steiner believes that the decision to keep Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen as their two drivers for next season is the best call that the team could have made.
It was announced last week that Haas would be retaining the same team for 2019 and Steiner is only looking at the positives from this rather than the bad things.
"It's the best it can be," Steiner told F1i.com. "You know what you're doing, everybody knows what we're doing and we can focus on trying to get fourth place in the constructors' standings.
"There are no negatives, only positives."
Steiner talked about the importance of consistency in Formula One and believes that is the reason for Haas' position in the league at the moment.
"It's difficult to say how much it influences, but for sure it's helpful," he added. "Consistency for a team is very good, provided you have the right consistency in the quality of the people.
"Anything new you do, people need to adapt. There is a learning period which normally means it's not taking you forward. At best, it keeps you where you are.
"It takes time to gel and to work together in any position in the team especially with the drivers."
