The FIA and F1 have pushed through several changes for next year to make the front and rear wings less complex, but that only makes things more complex for Haas, team principal
Guenther Steiner has explained.
The design of the front wing has to be different next year compared to this year, meaning that Haas's plan of developing the current wing is out of the window.
"We're going to have to change our plans now," Steiner admitted to Autosport.
"We'll look at it next week, as we were planning to drive an improved version of this year's car next year.
"But if the rules are changing drastically, there's no point in wasting time and money on a part we can't use.
Haas explains that changing things constantly is more difficult to cope with for smaller teams, as they have fewer resources for everything.
"It's tough for us to deal with.
"We have to start looking to next year very early into the season, and that's being made harder for us now.
"We'll do our best, but it'll be tough for us to adapt now."
