Lewis Hamilton has praised the mechanics of Mercedes, saying that it's
"crazy" how fast they can fix any arising problems during a Grand Prix weekend.
Hamilton is always quick to thank his team when any success comes his way, and with the Brit leading the championship heading into the summer break, he has come out to hail the team's "quick fixes."
"You’ll see if we have an issue on Saturday or Sunday, already it’s on the design board, and we’ll have fixes for this week," the four-time champion told F1i.
"For me, it’s crazy, that they can already come up with a fix, so intelligent the people we have back at the factory - that fascinates me."
Still, Hamilton does know that beating Ferrari will be no formality this year, as the Italians have simply outclassed Mercedes on multiple occasions. He knows that in order to beat the prancing horse, a lot of hard work needs to be done.
"Ferrari have taken a step ahead, they have really taken a step up, particularly in their qualifying performance," he continued.
"We are under no illusion that we have to work hard to battle against."
