George Russell made an big mistake at the Grand Prix at
Imola. While driving in a position where he could score points, he lost control of his car behind the safety car and went hard into the wall.
The young
Williams driver was hard on himself afterwards. He thought he had made an unacceptable mistake and apologised to the team dozens of times in the various media. In the end he did the same on Instagram.
Hamilton and Grosjean offer mental support
A few of his colleagues saw this and left some kind replies for the youngster.
"It is ok to make mistakes," says
Lewis Hamilton.
"It's ok to feel the pain. I have made more than I can remember. You're great bud. Keep your head up and on to the next one!"Romain Grosjean, who experienced a similar and now famous incident in Baku a few years ago, adds:
"Man, I know the feeling. Will take time to forget it, but what you are doing is mega. Keep pushing!”
