Charles Leclerc has been gathering more and more support over the past few weeks as rumours grow about his potential move to Ferrari next season. Now, both 4-time World Champions
Lewis Hamilton and
Sebastian Vettel have added their praise to the 20-year-olds driving.
If this is true, the Monaco born driver could become Vettel's team-mate next season. The German admitted he would prefer to drive alongside Kimi Raikkonen, but didn't have anything against the rookie.
"He doesn't have the best car, but he seems to be doing his job. it's really impressive," said Vettel in an interview on this is F1.
The current World Champion and championship leader Lewis Hamilton also expects the Sauber driver to be one of the biggest up and coming stars.
"He does a great with what he has, which what you expect a good driver to do," said the Britsh driver.
Leclerc did himself some extra favours at the weekend. He got himself into Q3 for the first time in his career and finished with a point.
