Lewis Hamilton holds almost every record there is to grab in
Formula 1. He has the most wins, poles and is tied with
Michael Schumacher when it comes to the most world titles. In 2022, he can easily break another one of Schumacher's records.
Schumacher loses another record
Hamilton is about to start his tenth Formula One season with Mercedes. In total, the Briton has already driven 178 Grands Prix with
Mercedes. In 2022, he can take the absolute record from Schumacher. The German entered 181 races with
Ferrari, of which he started 179.
The only question at the moment is really whether Hamilton will actually continue in
Formula 1. The driver has not made any announcements since losing the world title in 2021, although Mercedes seems to be hinting more and more at a longer stay with the team.
Verstappen enters top ten
Max Verstappen could enter the top ten of most loyal drivers in Formula 1 in 2022. The Dutchman is in a shared eleventh place with
Sebastian Vettel at
Ferrari. The 2021 world champion can jump to a total of 141 races for
Red Bull Racing, if he drives all 23 races of 2022 for the Austrian team, it will earn him the fifth spot on the list.
