Lewis Hamilton says fighting with
Max Verstappen is no different to driving against anyone else on the grid. The duo have battled throughout the season including the challenge in Austin.
Hamilton tried to overtake Verstappen in the final stages of the United States Grand Prix but didn't succeed. The Brit may have edged on the cautious side to prevent damage that would harm his chances.
Earlier in the season,
Hamilton called Verstappen a D*ckhead. He now says that fighting with Verstappen is just like any other wheel-to-wheel duel.
"There is no difference with a wheel-to-wheel fight with others. Max drove in his car just as Vettel would have done in the Ferrari, he did nothing revolutionary," Hamilton told Motorsport-total.
"We have fought such duels before, but it was probably the toughest. When I attacked he was in my blind corner, so I could not see exactly where he was driving. I let him go because I did not have to take the risk."
Verstappen has changed the outcome of the championship slightly in 2018. Back in China, Verstappen hit Vettel spinning him around. The duo collided again a few races ago, but that wasn't deemed as the Dutchman's fault.
