Lewis Hamilton is set to sign a new deal at Mercedes as early as next week according to German publication
Auto Motor und Sport. The current world champion is set to end all speculation by putting pen to paper with Mercedes next week.
The announcement is reportedly going to come at the French Grand Prix next weekend.
There have been discussions ongoing for a while with Hamilton and the German car manufacturer, but nothing yet has been agreed.
Hamilton has been rumoured to be unhappy with either the amount of money being offered in the deal or the length of the deal itself.
This has consequently led to specultion that the English driver could retire at the end of this season, or even make a big-money move to Ferrari.
Auto Motor und Sport say that all issues have now been resolved, though there has been no sign of how long the deal will be.
It has been rumoured that Hamilton was holding out for a staggering £120m over two years with an option for a third year, if the decision is mutual.
Hamilton currently sits in second place in the drivers' championship, just one point behind Ferrari's
Sebastian Vettel.
The Mercedes driver has won the world title four times and if any driver is to earn that sort of money, it would be Lewis.
