Guenther Steiner says that
Kevin Magnussen is starting to show his talents behind the wheel of his Formula 1 car.
Steiner, the Haas Team Principal says Magnussen is showing how good he can potentially be.
Magnussen already has P5 and P6 finishes in the 2018 campaign.
The Haas driver's Formula 1 career has been difficult.
The Danish international took a break from the sport before making his move to Haas last year.
Steiner says that Magnussen is coming into his own in the car and the sport.
"I personally think it is just his confidence," the Team Principal said.
"He is in a good spot with his thinking, with his driving and he is confident.
"I think that it is the first time in F1 that he can show how good a driver he is.
"I think that it is the first time that he had a real chance with a decent car to show what he can do, and that is what it is.
Steiner went on to say that the reason for Magunssen's confidence is down to the car and the team that support the Dane.
"He knows the team, he has nothing to worry about there, he doesn't think about it," Steiner said.
"He trusts everybody, he has got a good car available, and he is just doing what I think we all knew years ago that he could do."
