Renault team boss
Cyril Abiteboul says he does not want the F1 world to be split into two.
Abiteboul wants a more fair and balanced competition in F1.
Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull are the three that dominate the sport currently.
Abiteboul says that the current situation is not healthy for the sport and hopes for a reaction from owners,
Liberty Media.
"Look at the big picture, look at the gap between the top teams," Abiteboul told Motorsport-Total.com.
"We live in two worlds and we are in the second world at the top, but we would like to be part of it to become the first world.
"I hope the new owner is quick to do something, because our sport should not be that way.
"The success or Renault will reveal a lot about the status of our sport, so if a manufacturer like Renault is not able to drive to the first world, that's saying a lot."
"It's not good for Formula One if nobody is able to improve their positition.
"I do not complain, but we have to look at the development of Renault and the limits of the team in the sport.
"We have a clear problem, there are already reports of a Class A and a Class B field, which is a bad sign."
