Brendon Hartley is enjoying his time in the F1, but he admitted he sometimes forgets why he's doing it because of the tremendous pressure that comes with driving in the sport.
The Kiwi made his debut at the United States Grand Prix last season and drove the last four races of the 2017 season for Toro Rosso before starting his first full campaign in 2018. He picked up his first point in Baku, finishing tenth in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
"There's more media in the F1, so sometimes you feel like there are more eyes on you," Hartley explained to Motorsport.com when comparing WEC to F1.
"There are moments when you can feel that there's more pressure in F1, because you're alone here instead of with three drivers per car.
"I enjoy it.
"I have to remind myself why I'm doing this and why I enjoy it, because there's a lot of pressure."
Hartley is certainly the driver who's under the most pressure on the grid to lose his seat, as the Kiwi is seventeen points behind his teammate Pierre Gasly, and rumours are starting of either Pascal Wehrlein, Robert Kubica or Lando Norris taking his place at Toro Rosso. Can Hartley weather the storm?
