Much is expected from
Lewis Hamilton's move to
Ferrari. Fans of the Briton himself, as well as
Ferrari, would be only too happy to see the seven-time world champion take his eighth title with the Italian team. While
Helmut Marko, Red Bull's chief advisor, expects a lot from Hamilton, he thinks there is something that could hinder the Briton's performance at the Scuderia.
On Wednesday afternoon, Hamilton was in action for the first time in the new SF-25 at Ferrari's home track in Fiorano. Earlier in the day, his teammate,
Charles Leclerc, had taken the wheel of the Scuderia's 2025
F1 car.
Marko wary of Hamilton at Ferrari?

"I would be very wary of that. If Hamilton is motivated, he can continue where he left off after 2021. The comeback he delivered then was impressive. The Ferrari though has to be competitive. And Hamilton needs to do well in qualifying, which was never his strongest point. If he loses two or three tenths on Leclerc, he always has to find his way up during races. That's going to be tough on the tyres..."
