With much effort,
Max Verstappen finally won the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at
Imola. During the three practice sessions in the Italian race weekend, Verstappen failed to finish in the top three each time, but after qualifying he was just back on pole.
Helmut Marko thinks qualifying in Monaco could still be a problem.
"
We definitely have to rise to the challenge with McLaren," Marko told
De Telegraaf. "And now we go to Monaco and there it's pretty much just about qualifying. I think that will be the most difficult race so far for us in advance, also because of the bumps and kerbstones there. I also expect a lot from Ferrari there and especially from Charles Leclerc,
" said the consultant.
At the
Circuit de Monaco, as most know, overtaking is extremely difficult. So a good starting spot seems essential in advance for a good final ranking in the Mediterranean city-state. Next weekend, the
Monaco Grand Prix is scheduled in
Formula 1. It is a traditional weekend, with no sprint sessions. Whether Verstappen puts his RB20 on pole, we will see on Saturday afternoon.
