Red Bull team principal
Christian Horner has said that the reason
Lewis Hamilton still hasn't signed his contract extension at Mercedes is probably because of the demands the four-time champion has.
There have been rumours of the amounts of salary Hamilton is asking for, and that's what Horner thinks is slowing this whole process up.
"I can only imagine that a delay has to with money," Horner said during his press conference.
"I should think it's such a grotesque amount of money that Toto's talking about, it probably is what's making his and Niki [Lauda]'s eyes water at the moment.
"So, yeah, he's got an expensive lifestyle.
"He's a four-time world champion and I doubt he's cheap.
"I can only envisage that that's probably got something to do with the delay."
Hamilton is on an expiring deal at the moment, meaning that he'll be a free agent after this year if the extension doesn't get sorted by the end of the year.
Wolff himself
explained that what's holding up the extension isn't that dramatic, as it's simply because everyone is too busy to sit down and get the extension out of the way.
