Christian Horner says that Red Bull still have a problem on their hands on Saturday's, a lack of pace compared to their rivals cost them a better result at the Canadian Grand Prix according to the team principal.
Red Bull had a fairly good race with
Max Verstappen finishing third and
Daniel Ricciardo holding off Lewis Hamilton for fourth.
"We had again a quick race car. Again our problem was on the Saturday. It’s been a very strong performance from the team again this weekend," he told Sky Sports.
"Max has had an absolutely clean weekend. He’s been quick in every session. He managed the race very well and looked after the tyres. It’s great for his confidence and hopefully a start of a run for him.
"We need to get more performance out of the whole car. Ideally more out of the engine, we have more stuff in the pipeline for the chassis. The car is working beautifully at the moment and performing at an incredibly high level. We have tracks coming up that will play more to our strengths so to be third and fourth ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari is a good result.
"It’s been another strong weekend for us, another fastest lap, podium for Max, fourth for Daniel, on a track that is Mercedes territory. We didn’t have enough to challenge Sebastian today but there are some tracks coming up we should be strong at."
