Lewis Hamilton ran very close to
Sergio Perez's car during the
Spanish Grand Prix. According to Mercedes, the Briton did not hit the
Red Bull Racing car, but on the images below this is debatable.
It is not the first time that Parc Fermé is the subject of a discussion. Indeed, in 2021
Max Verstappen touched Hamilton's car and received a hefty penalty for doing so. The
FIA imposed a fine of 50,000 euros on him, which they tried to use to deter other drivers.
In Barcelona, Hamilton seemed to make a mistake. The driver ran past the rear of the car, with all appearances that he collided with Perez's car. Throughout the race weekend, a discussion was further left unanswered, but the footage may give a different perspective on the matter.
