Helmut Marko sees Sebastian Vettel as his ideal successor as an advisor for Red Bull Racing. The four-time world champion is not initially opposed to the idea. “Whether that's also something for me, I have yet to see,” Vettel reacts to Sky Sports. “I'm still in contact with him (Marko) and a few years ago I asked him how long he wanted to continue. He said, 'not much longer', and now he's still here (laughs).”
Vettel then praised Marko and hoped the Austrian will postpone his retirement a bit longer. “As long as he enjoys it and feels good in his work, thanks to his experience, he can fulfill a unique role, especially when it comes to team dynamics. He knows that the best. It would be a shame if he put down his role at some point.”
