Robert Kubica believes that everything is easier since he has returned to F1. The Pole completed a day of testing for
Williams at the post-Hungarian Grand Prix test, a year on from his test with Renault and his first since his rally accident back in 2011.
Speaking to media after the test, Kubica revealed he felt as though everything was easier than it was a year ago, explaining that he remembered much more and could concentrate more on testing rather than being overly cautious.
"It was all OK. We did have a bit of a mixed program with some data collection for next year, and trying to understand how we can make the car work better for next year's car.
"But we did do a few runs with a current specification car as well. So the feeling was good.
"Twelve months ago I was here for the first time with Renault, and after 12 months I can say everything is easier!
"One year ago everything was new for me, especially with the new generation of Formula 1, and now everything is more familiar, easier and I'm more confident.
"So all good."
Kubica will be hoping that his return to F1 and subsequent testing will be enough for a team to take a chance on him and give him a race seat for 2019. He recently revealed that he would have been driving for Ferrari in 2012 but for his rally accident denying him the chance to realise his potential in F1.
