Robert Kubica will want to forget quickly after he was told to bring his race to a premature end to save parts for the
Japanese Grand Prix. Kubica's sponsors have now responded to the situation and will take the appropriate action.
Williams hadn't had a retirement all season until the
Singapore Grand Prix when
George Russell crashed out. However, they've now had three retirements from a possible fourth after Russell exited the race in Sochi, Kubica was asked to pull over the car.
It was revealed this was in order to save parts and PRK Orlen have responded to the situation, revealing they asked Williams for an answer.
"In relation to Robert Kubica's withdrawal from the Russia GP race, we officially asked ROKiT Williams Racing for an explanation," Joanna Zakrzewska, spokeswoman for PKN Orlen, told Formula Spy.
"On the basis of these, we will undertake further steps relating to the application of contractual obligations."
It is yet to be seen if there will be any consequences.
