Charles Leclerc has said that the team got everything out of the car that they could this weekend in Melbourne, as the Monegasque debutant finished thirteenth.
The start was not how he would've wanted it to go, but all things considered, Leclerc is happy with how his debut went.
"I'm very happy with my day," the GP3 and Formula 2 champ said.
“The start was not ideal – I had to catch up with the competitors ahead of me and slowly work my way forward."
“We maximised our potential and had a consistently good pace."
"I was able to overtake some of the cars, which was fun - overall, it has been a positive weekend.”
The race had five DNF's, but Leclerc still managed to stay ahead of Brendon Hartley's Toro Rosso and Lance Stroll's Williams. If it hadn't been for a mistake the Monegasque made on Saturday, he would've even been in Q2 on Saturday.
"We've made good progress since Friday and we are at a good starting point, and I've personally learned a lot heading into Bahrain."
