Following a mixed start to his
Ferrari career, which has included a pole start and a podium,
Charles Leclerc has admitted he’s trying to get rid of any weaknesses so he can progress.
The Monegasque finished fifth at the
Australian Grand Prix and then qualified on pole for the
Bahrain edition before a short circuit caused him to finish third behind the safety car. The impressive weekend in Bahrain last time out has meant pressure on
Sebastian Vettel has increased but the new Scuderia man just wants to focus on his own development.
“I just want to be the best possible,” Leclerc said.
“I try to focus on my weaknesses so that I can eliminate them as soon as possible.
“All riders say they feel more pressure, to be honest with me, that's not the case, why, but I do not know.
“I'm just a bit strange there.”
Having spent one season at Sauber Leclerc has stepped up to
Ferrari and he admitted the change in setups is huge.
“Everything a size bigger that means more people are working on even more details and it's very impressive how methodically everything works,” he added.
