The Indianapolis mayor, Joe Hogsett, has declared the 24th of September will be 'Scott Dixon Day' from now on in Indy in honour of the five-time
IndyCar champion from New Zealand.
Dixon has become an absolute legend in the IndyCar series, winning five titles and one Indy500 among other things. His latest title, which he won two weeks ago, puts him above four-time champions like Mario Andretti (who also won an F1 title), Sebastian Bourdais and Dario Franchitti. Only A.J. Foyt is ahead of him in terms of championships.
The proclamation of Scott Dixon Day is on the same day, not coincidentally, when the documentary about Dixon's racing career came out. 'Born Racer' is the name of that thing, which tails him for the entire 2017 season while also talking about his entire career.
Is that movie worth checking out? Or should we keep our money and spend it on something better?
