Haas F1's Kevin Magnussen has warned that extending the DRS-zone at the Bahrain International Circuit could make overtaking too easy during the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The DRS-zone has been extended by a 100 metres on the main straight, which is typical F1-behaviour according to Magnussen, as he thinks it wasn't necessary at all.
"It's a typical thing the F1 tends to do, overreacting," K-Mag said.
"There's one bad race, they make a big change and now you go too much the other way.
"Now it becomes boring because it will be too easy to overtake.
"If you have too much DRS it just becomes a drive-by."
Switching topics, Magnussen gave his pit crew a vote of confidence, and he trusts that an accident like the ones in Melbourne won't happen again.
"No one could have done a better job anyway, it’s just a tough situation, Now they’ve had a bit more time to rest and do a bit more practice and hopefully they feel more confident."
The Dane will be starting from sixth after qualifying seventh, as Lewis Hamilton, who qualified in fourth, was dealt a penalty and is moved back five places. A second start from the third row for K-Mag, let's see what he can do during the Grand Prix!
