After a very disappointing qualifying session,
Max Verstappen thinks that there's still an opportunity to get something out of the
Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Dutchman spun out and crashed his Red Bull in Q1, leaving him in P15 on the starting grid. That is because he did set a time in Q1 that got him into Q2 before crashing, but then in Q2 he obviously wasn't able to set a time, leaving him at P15.
"I'm confident about the race, I think we can go for fifth place," Verstappen said.
"Maybe even better if there's a safety car on the track."
Verstappen is certainly no stranger to playing catch-up, and he's one of the best in the business at it, but we've seen the cars struggling to overtake each other at the Australian Grand Prix. Bottas started fifteenth and only managed to win five places in his Mercedes on Albert Park. Was that a one-off, or will this season have less overtaking action?
