Williams didn't finish last in China, but again no points-finish for the British team, whose car seems to be lacking truckloads of pace compared to the rest of the field (except for Sauber maybe).
Lance Stroll qualified dead-last in Bahrain two weekends ago, which was a first in the Canadian's young career. Besides that, analytics have shown that Williams has actually gotten slower compared to last year. They are the only team who has this, the rest of the field have all improved.
"We can't say that we have a good car, but we're not panicking," team principal
Paddy Lowe assured
FormulaPassion. "We're going to take steps in the first part of this season, although I don't know how fast we're going to be taking them."
Lowe refuses to lay the blame on his drivers, even though they are the youngest and least experienced line-up in the history of the team. That's not the cause of the team's performances, says Lowe.
"Every driver experiences the car in a different way and we have to take that into account when designing the car.
"The drivers are doing a very good job and they've been very professional, we can't ask any more of them."
