Max Verstappen will have a much harder time during Sunday's race than during Saturday's sprint race. The Dutchman started the sprint race first and managed to hold first position despite Charles Leclerc being able to get alongside the RB19 before the first corner. Helmut Marko tells Sky Sports' Austrian branch that he still sees an improvement in the starts compared to those in Japan and Qatar.

Marko on problems with the start

"The start was not optimal, but he [Verstappen] still managed to come out of the corner first. That was very important," Marko said. "The bad thing about the start was that Leclerc was on next to, or maybe even just in front. That means our start was perfect but better than the last two starts."

So in Japan and Qatar, the starts were not as good, according to Marko. He explains what he thinks is the biggest problem: "That is a question of mapping the start. We have already improved if I look at the starts in Doha or in Japan. So we are working with Honda on that."
