Max Verstappen has never made a secret of not placing too much value on records. Yet the record does mean something to the Dutchman, Helmut Marko noted.
At the German branch of Sky Sports, Marko looked back on the Italian Grand Prix. "We had to pay a bit of attention to the temperature, but overall both cars were very good in the race today," the Red Bull Racing advisor summarised.
Verstappen's record-breaking tenth win is barely behind him or Marko is already looking ahead to the next race. "I know Max was a bit nervous today because it was his tenth win in a row. If we win in Singapore now, we will know enough," said the 80-year-old Austrian.
"It's actually an incredible success story. Last time in the Netherlands it was already a great story, everyone was going crazy. But I have never experienced anything like this," Marko concluded.
