Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz believes that F1's ban on grid girls is a show. The Austrian says that F1 has better things to be doing and fixing than worrying about grid girls.
Speaking to Kronen newspaper, he said that he felt it was a waste of F1's time and that it was for show.
"An incredible puppet show. Formula 1 has more important things to do than debate grid girls."
Red Bull Ring spokesman Stefan Hotschl confirmed that despite no grid girls, there would be F1 girls during the Austrian Grand Prix weekend.
"They (the Formula Una girls) will have tasks off the track in various areas."
Mateschitz has owned the Red Bull team since 2005 after buying the Jaguar Racing Team from Ford. Since then, his team has gone on to win four constructors titles as well as four drivers championships with Sebastian Vettel.
