Max Verstappen has called his father, Jos Verstappen, "completely crazy" after watching footage of his dad rallying.

Jos Verstappen recently shared a video of a rally he competed in on his social media, where it can be seen that the Dutchman takes off from the ground completely while behind the wheel.

His speed was measured along the side of the road, with the speedometer showing a whopping 170 mph, equivalent to about 270 kilometers per hour while airborne.

Max Verstappen was confronted with the footage of his father by Viaplay. ‘'Yes, he naturally sends it to me as well. I say: ‘You are completely crazy’', laughs Verstappen. ‘'I think it's impressive what he's doing. I would not do it myself, but he's doing it very well.’'

Jos Verstappen's success was recently confirmed, winning the Rally des Ardennes in Belgium. Together with co-driver Renaud Jamoul, Jos crossed the finish line more than 35 seconds ahead of the competitor, Bastien Rouard, in the Hyundai i20.

“They were beautiful, but also tricky stages. You really had to stay focused. Things have been going very well lately. The car feels good, and we feel comfortable together with the car and the team. The notes are good, and we work well together. We have confidence, and it paid off here. I am very satisfied,” Verstappen said after the rally.
