Max Verstappen was in action at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao on Wednesday, together with his manager Raymond Vermeulen and others. The Red Bull Racing driver got behind the wheel of several cars, occupying the entire top three on the timesheet.
Verstappen drove three different cars at the Portuguese circuit, including the Ferrari 296 GT3 of Emil Frey Racing, the team for which his protégé - and son of Raymond Vermeulen - Thierry Vermeulen competes in the DTM championship.
This is not the first time the four-time world champion has got behind the wheel of the Ferrari. Last year, Verstappen tested the car at the Mugello circuit, providing Thierry and his team with important feedback. Earlier this year, the Dutchman returned to action at Mugello in the same car.
At the Sachsenring this year, Vermeulen achieved his first pole position in the DTM class. He was also on course for his first victory, but due to a blunder by his team during his pit stop, he fell back to third place. He did finish on the podium, however.

These results are hardly surprising to educated race fans. For Max haters please feel free to present your weak a$$ arguments and lame attempts to explain these results.
I don't get why we are even seeing this as "news" even lol. Max destroying a bunch of amateurs, look at these time differences. 3 seconds to the next guy, on a track with laps in the 1:40s. What a waste of time...
Yeah not hating at Max, but this is like me racing my friends at the local go kart racetrack.
I'm sure most of the 20 F1 Drivers would be top of a leaderboard against non F1 Drivers. I beat Verstappen on my son's F1 game, I think that's just as valid as the results above. : )
Really he is racing against bunch of none F1 drivers and you're excited ?. Okay my friend whatevere floats your boat ?
What’s up icy tony ? Not getting enough interaction? Are you bored? Have you considered that VPN commercial yet ? Have you considered what your doing with your one and only life you F1 nut ?
