McLaren is set to race with a massively upgraded version of the MCL33 in Spain this weekend, and even though McLaren insisted that expectations should be lowered for the impact of the upgrade,
Auto Motor und Sport report that the upgrade will be a B-spec of the MCL33.
The German outlet has found out that McLaren have had problems integrating the new Renault-engine, and that the Woking-based team couldn't develop the car anymore like it was, which is why they've resorted to a B-spec.
With the B-spec, we're talking a new nose, new side pods, a new floor, wings and parts of the rear. In the paddock, people are speaking of a completely new MCL33.
There's also a rumour going around that the new nose of the McLaren looks incredible. It couldn't be integrated before because it hadn't passed safety and crash tests yet. Now, all eyes will be on the B-spec of McLaren this weekend in Barcelona.
