Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has opened his praise book after watching Mick Schumacher clinch the F3 title yesterday. The German driver finished 12th in the opening race, but a podium finish in the second sealed the deal a race early.
Wolff congratulated Schumacher soon after winning the title. The 19-year-old has been tipped by many to trace his father's footsteps in F1. Wolff agrees with this and says he has the potential to become one of the greats.
"Attention was focused on the youngster right from the start, and he was under a lot of pressure," Wolff highlighted when talking to F1i.
"It's not easy coping with all that, especially if the season does not get off to the best of starts, as in this case. His performance in the second half of the season was, therefore, all the more impressive. He has shown that he has what it takes and that he can become one of the greats in our sport."
Is Wolff eyeing up a seat for Schumacher?
