In Gian Carlo Minardi’s column ‘The Point’, he wrote about the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Minardi mentions several things surrounding the weekend, including Max Verstappen’s penalty, the gap from Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, and Lando Norris’s “negative weekend”.
Minardi starts out strong when he mentions Norris, immediately pointing out his flaws. He wrote, “It was a negative weekend for Norris. He is racing inconsistently, and his difficulties are obvious.”

Minardi says Norris is ‘suffering’

He continued, “The comeback in the race was certainly positive, also the result of a good strategy, but the mistake in Q3 was very heavy. Despite having the best car on the track, he could not overtake Leclerc.”
This was the first podium that Norris was not on for the 2025 season. He missed out by one second.
Minardi, therefore, claims that Norris, having the fastest car, made Leclerc's podium mean more. “This makes the result achieved by the driver from Monte Carlo even more important.”
The last thing Minardi writes about Norris is "Norris is suffering heavily from the 'problem' of Piastri, who exploits his McLaren to the utmost.
