Lando Norris is set to begin the Australian GP from pole position, with his teammate,
Oscar Piastri, lining up alongside him. Behind the Briton will be
Max Verstappen. Here is the final starting grid for the upcoming event.
After a great qualifying session,
McLaren managed to secure a front row lockout for the Sunday. A good starting position, but the two drivers now also have to watch out for each other into Turn 1.
Alongside Verstappen,
George Russell will line up in P4. A quite surprising third row then follow, with
Yuki Tsunoda and
Alexander Albon. The two
Ferrari drivers,
Charles Leclerc and
Lewis Hamilton will line up on the fourth row.
Outside the top 10 are two drivers in frontrunner cars, Andrea Kimi Antonelli and
Liam Lawson. The Italian is set to start from P16, while Lawson had to settle for P18 on the grid, after making mistakes. It was also announced that Lawson will start from the pit lane.
Oliver Bearman's difficulties also continue, as the driver was unable to complete a lap in qualifying because of a gearbox issue, after causing two red flags already in FP1 and FP3. He will start from the pit lane.
